I once walked all the way out here from Worthing town centre to check out this brand new micropub, only to discover that it wasnt due to open for another couple of weeks, so returning a few years later, I grudgingly trod the same steps but was glad to find a well bedded-in pub doing a great Sunday afternoon trade. It's a shop conversion to the West of the town, with an entrance taking you into a parquet floored space with a long porch and display windows to either side, which have been converted into very narrow, raised seating areas - one with a grandfather clock and huge wall clock on show, the other with a beer bottle display - and struck me as the ideal place to sit if you've ever wanted to know how shop window mannequins feel. There are a couple of padded benches in this front space and a few more in the bare boarded section of the room, where neutral shaded walls give way to bare brick and timber lined walls instead. The bar is midway down the right-hand wall and has a basic counter bearing the pub's logo, and a plain bar back dominated by some helpful beer boards, with the cask beer poured from a tap room and the keg stuff from a short row of taps below the beer boards. Beyond the bar there is limited seating, including a few high tables and stools and a drinking ledge with a window into the taproom. The wall here has been completely covered in old pump clips, whilst another wall to the front has a similar display of keg font inserts. It looked like there was some extra seating in another room to the rear, but I never made it that far back to properly explore. Music was just about audible in the background if you were stood near the bar, but otherwise conversation was king and the only real distraction was a dartboard at the back of the room.
The beer boards listed a good cask range comprising Thornbridge Jaipur, Pig and Porter Caravan, Bristol Beer Factory Notorious and Neptune Molly, plus three craft kegs and four real ciders. The Notorious was in excellent condition and I was impressed with the busy Sunday evening crowd, who seemed wholly unconcerned that the place was due to shut at 7pm, giving them less than half an hour to wrap up their evening.
This is a top quality micropub with some great beer, loyal customers, friendly service and varied seating areas in a comfortable environment. It's a shame I arrived so close to their closing time, as I would've happily stayed to try a few more of their ales - I'll certainly remember the place though and won't mind so much having to walk those steps back here again in the future.

A comfortable, well-appointed, micropub in a suburban parade. 5 or so local ales available from the cool room at £4, plus a few kegs at £5.50. Cider and wines are also offered. My pint was in good nick.
Seating is primarily at high tables and is good for about 30. I did find it a bit on the chilly side on my lunch-time visit (though, in mitigation, it was a cold day and there were only a few of us in).
